WHAT IS GOING ON. LETS RAISE OUR VOICES AND TELL THEM WHAT WE WANT. IPOD COMPATABLES SEEM TO BE FORCED ON US. FOR SOME REASON THE PRICE WENT WAY UP AND YOU CAN'T FIND THEM FOR SALE. WE USE IT ALL THE TIME. I PAID $80.00 FOR MINE. GREAT QUALITY AND SOUND. LOTS OF US JUST WANT TO PLAY OUR CD'S.
However, the CD player's anti-motion mechanism shut it off extremely easily, although sound quality was excellent when it was playing. The offshore service representative gave awful service. Bought this so I could carry it around the house with me. I returned it as a defective item, and although I bought it direct from SonyStyle, they had great bureaucratic problems having the unit picked up and a replacement sent to me - so I had no choice but to return it and shop for another brand, loyal Sony customer that I had been.
Starting getting the no disc message. We loved this boombox but after a few trips with it the cd player stopped working. That was very disappointing.
It should be able to crank out the tunes. I was able to pick up alot of stations in my basement, which is not always possible.
Other than that little function, the rest of the system seems to work great and will be a nice little system. It is a little toggle switch and you have to go through all of the stations to get from one to the next.
The only items that I don't 100% like on the system is the changing of channels on the radio. If this came with a remote control, that would make it so much easier.
The sound on this system is good. The FM receiver appears to be good.
You can't easily get from the first channel setting to the last without going through all of them.
Very good sound, a little larger than I thought, has large wall wart, but stays in the outlet. Nice ergo design.
